This piece, despite its simplicity, is a hard piece to play well. Through a simple melody supported by changing chords, Chopin is able to capture a sad and melancholic feeling so well that I believe anyone listening to it cannot help but to be moved. In fact, it was one of the pieces played at his funeral, which seems fitting.
It is one of the first pieces I learned while taking lessons, and it is among Chopin's most famous works. I hope you enjoy listening to my version of it.
